Excel London has developed one of Europe’s largest IP infrastructures, capable of handling the most complex event network. Our hard-wired infrastructure ensures unrivaled security, reliability, and consistency of service. Our IT team liaise with you during the planning stages of your event to understand your requirements and advises on how third-parties can distribute Wi-Fi and access to SERs.
Connectivity in the organiser offices
A handset and a digital telephone line for internal calls (free of charge) and external calls (costs apply) is included in the licence agreement along with a hardwired 1Mb Internet connection in the organiser office.
In-house sites - exclusive / In event branding - non exclusive
At Excel there are over 400 public advertising, branding, and signage sites. There is a choice of variably-sized print and digital opportunities to suit your needs, as well as those of your sponsors and exhibitors. These enable you to create innovative, experiential installations to enhance the attendee experience, and create memorable brand moments.
Our media team are retained to produce and install, consciously using materials with the least environmental impact for these public sites. We can also provide a complete service including artwork creation and management. Download the media pack for more information.
Primary pull - exclusive / Power distribution - non-exclusive
The Excel team provides the primary pull for electrical mains in the event spaces. Your general services contractor or production company can place orders for power, provided that they are certified to City and Guilds 2360 part 1 and 2*.
The rate cards are available on the organiser portal which you can access at www.excel.london/login. Please note that the rate cards reflect the power consumption only, and not the distribution. Distribution, testing and administration is provided by your electrical contractor or production company, and additional costs may occur.
Electrical mains are available through the ducts in the floor and are distributed to stands, AV or rigging from this point. It is important to ensure that exhibition stands are positioned over the ducts so that power can be distributed to all stands.
*The City and Guilds of London Institute was founded by the City of London and 16 livery companies (the Guilds) in 1878 and granted a Royal Charter in 1900. A registered charity, the Institute remains the awarding body for City & Guilds qualifications.
The health and safety of visitors and our teams are our top priority when installing rigging points, structures, and banners. Fixings or attachments can be applied to most sections of the venue ceiling (primary rigging). These are installed exclusively by our rigging team to mitigate risk and damage to the structure.*
Here are some of the common items you might consider suspending above the show floor:
When specifying rigging requirements, it is important to think about weight, location, and impact.
Our rigging team is here to help you develop the safest and most robust solution and can install truss, drop wires and scaffolding poles as secondary points as required.
*Secondary rigging points can be installed by the Excel team but it is not an exclusive service.
The Excel cleaning team will have cleaned the event spaces and organiser offices in advance of your arrival on-site. All touch points, as well as seating in conference and meeting areas, are wiped with chlorine-based cleaning fluid.
During build-up, open and breakdown cleaners will be in your tenancy area collecting rubbish and cleaning.
The disposal of any excess waste, including clinical and non-recyclable waste as well as marketing literature will be recharged. If you need any additional cleaning during the event please let your event manager know.
Any stand cleaning is charged to the relevant exhibitor and can be ordered using our on-line service order portal. We can provide a personalised link for the services that will be available for your event.
Piped services can play an integral role in the overall experience of delegates and visitors no matter the size and scale of the event. Health and safety and professional competence are essential as these services require specific expertise and extensive knowledge of the venue infrastructure. These include:
The use of LPG gas is prohibited in the building.
**Distribution of these services can be undertaken by the Excel team but is not an exclusive service.
