International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) celebrates record registrations in London

The International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) is celebrating the success of the Society’s Silver Jubilee with a new record for registration at the ISCT 2017 London Annual Meeting.

The event, which took place at Excel London from the 3rd – 6th May, is the largest ISCT annual meeting to date, welcoming 1,586 participants, from over 50 countries.

Almost 100 sessions were presented by over 200 renowned experts from around the globe, during the pre-conference day and the subsequent three-day scientific programme.

ISCT President Catherine Bollard stated: "London and Excel have exceeded our expectations. The venue space was flexible enough that we could create distinct spaces for each of our activities - plenary sessions, poster areas, exhibit space, registration - with plenty of room for networking and relaxation.  Excel’s Platinum Suite provided the necessary space for each of our smaller tracks, such as Quality and Operations or Strategies for Commercialisation, which don't require the grand scale of the plenary sessions. Intimate spaces such as the venue’s South Gallery Rooms were perfect for committee meetings.”

Queenie Jang, Executive Director of ISCT, added, “ISCT initially chose Excel London for the Society’s Silver Jubilee and ISCT 2017 London Annual Meeting due to both the exceptional facilities and staff capabilities. This milestone meeting was two years in the making, during which time Excel's attention to detail and tight follow up were impressive. Both the conference attendance and delegates feedback exceeded our expectations.”

Andrew Swanston, Head of Sales, Excel London, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome The International Society for Cellular Therapy and we are delighted they had a successful event in London. From the outset, we worked closely with their team to understand their specific objectives, supporting them throughout the planning process, from initial discussions to the close of the congress. It’s fantastic that they leave London celebrating record registrations and we are thrilled to have supported them in delivering this event.”
