Excel London becomes first venue to sign-up to Women In Exhibitions

Excel London has taken a further step in widening its diversity and inclusion programme by joining Women In Exhibitions (WIE) UK Chapter  – becoming the first venue to do so.

Launched in 2018, WIE aims to empower women in the exhibition industry whilst helping to nurture the next generation of female leaders. Open to both males and females, the programme organisers a range of events aimed at supporting the continued professional development of women working in the exhibitions sector and providing opportunities for them to meet and network.

Whilst WIE has enjoyed strong uptake since launching, Excel is the first venue as an entity to have pledged its support to the programme. 

Lori Hoinkes, Managing Director of Montgomery Events and President of Women in Exhibitions UK Chapter, said: “Women in Exhibitions is open to all, from individual memberships to some of the world’s biggest exhibitions companies, across the venue, organiser and supplier spectrum. We’re an inclusive organisation with the goal of giving women the tools and the knowledge to thrive throughout their careers in this wonderful industry.”
