Crossrail to become The Elizabeth Line in honour of Her Majesty The Queen

Her Majesty the Queen has visited the under-construction Elizabeth line station at Bond Street as the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson MP, announced that the new railway will be known as the Elizabeth line in her honour. 

The Elizabeth line will transform travel across the city, boosting the economy by billions of pounds and supporting thousands of new jobs and homes.

A dedicated station at Excel will open up the whole of London to delegates, visitors and exhibitors offering:

• Quick and easy access from Heathrow for international delegates

• 12 trains per hour carrying 1,500 visitors

• The best connected venue in the UK

• An extended 125,000 hotel rooms across the city

• Better connections to London’s business and leisure opportunities

 

Due to open in 2019, Elizabeth line will transform the future of events at Excel London providing easier access for delegates from North America, Asia and the rest of the world.
