In 2018, the Elizabeth line will transform travel across London, making it easier, faster and more convenient to get to Excel.
This £15 billion Events Super Highway will deliver an unrivalled transport network, with state-of-the-art, air-conditioned trains, furnished with onboard Wi-Fi and 4G.
It will enable more people from around the UK to have direct access to Excel, with connections from the North, South, East and West, via transport hubs including Paddington, Farringdon and Liverpool Street. International visitors will be able to travel from Heathrow direct to Excel in just 43-minutes.
When the day ends, the whole of London will become your playground, with access to more hotels, Michelin starred restaurants and world-renowned theatre and shopping, all within record time via the Elizabeth line.
- Excel will have its own onsite Elizabeth line station at Custom House, delivering an additional 18,000 visitors per hour
- The Elizabeth line will improve connectivity for international visitors, with a 43-minutes direct connection from Heathrow to Excel
- The Elizabeth line will enhance Excel’s connectivity with rest of the UK, linking us to Farringdon (for Thameslink services) Paddington (Reading, Oxford, the Home counties and the South West) and Liverpool St (Essex and beyond)
- More visitors and exhibitors from across the country and around the world will be able to get to Excel, accessing the very best of London during their stay
- Increased dwell time at Excel (due to less travel time)
- Seniority of visitor enhanced - ease and speed of travel will mean that a trip to Excel will not require someone to block out a whole day in their diary

- 12 trains an hour, each carrying up to 1,500 visitors in comfort with Wi-Fi and 4G. A train every 2.5 minutes in central London at peak times; Oyster and contactless payment accepted
- State-of-the-art trains and ‘destination stations’ with shops, bars and restaurants
