Sustainability & Legacy

Backed by ADNEC and guided by our purpose to Connect Lives, Excel London brings people together in ways that create real impact - socially, economically and environmentally.

With four million visitors every year, we use our platform to inspire positive change across our local community, the events industry and the planet.

Climate Action

Tackling the climate emergency is central to how we operate and plan for the future. Every event we host is an opportunity to reduce emissions, use resources responsibly, and inspire others to act.

Certified carbon neutral under PAS 2060, we are now progressing to ISO 14068, the new international standard for carbon neutrality.

Our Net Zero Transition plan, published in 2025, outlines clear milestones and measurable actions to achieve our targets.

We are committed to:

  • Reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030
  • Achieving net zero by 2045

While our electricity is supplied via the national grid, we match 100% of our consumption with Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), supporting renewable energy generation in the UK.

For over a decade, we have sent zero waste to landfill and continue to drive resource efficiency, from recycling programmes to housing one of the UK’s largest on-site wormeries.

We are also proud signatories of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge and collaborate with the wider industry to accelerate change.
