Events at Excel have got off to a great start, with a busy calendar throughout January and February. We kick-started the year with a new 5-day format for the London Boat Show, which was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne and welcomed 52,000 visitors, who enjoyed a range of boats and products from 347 exhibitors.
This was followed by a series of successful trade shows including 100% Optical, Bett, Professional Beauty, BVE, and ICE Totally Gaming, which reported growth for the seventh consecutive year.
In addition to exhibitions, we’ve also welcomed over 5,000 students including dental nurses and HR professionals to sit their exams, and have run corporate events for a variety of global brands and blue-chip companies.
With the opening of the Elizabeth line in December 2018, events at Excel are set to be even better. We will have our own onsite Elizabeth line station, delivering an additional 18,000 visitors per hour. By dramatically reducing journey times, it will allow visitors to spend more time at your event, including senior decision makers who will be able to drop in for a meeting or stay for the day.
This £15 billion ‘Events Super Highway’ will link the world’s busiest airport at Heathrow to Excel in 43-minutes, allowing more international visitors to attend your event. In between, delegates will be able to access the very best of what London has to offer, with connections to hotels, Michelin starred restaurants, world-renowned theatre and attractions, all within record time.
