Museum of London Docklands

The Museum of London Docklands traces the 2,000-year history of London’s river, port, and people up to the present day. Bordered by the River Thames and West India Quay, the Grade I former listed Georgian warehouse offers a distinctive backdrop for events and celebrations with its contemporary décor seamlessly complementing its historic charm.

Access to the museum’s incredible galleries can be included as part of an event in one of the purpose-built warehouse inspired spaces, or clients can opt to further enhance the experience by hosting their event within one of the galleries themselves.

Hosting a drinks reception in Sailortown, a full-scale reconstruction of a Victorian street based in the 1840s, is a great way to immerse guests in the history of the museum as they take a stroll through the mysterious alleyways and narrow streets. Actors can also be brought in to really set the scene and complete the illusion of stepping back in time!

Alternatively, in the Spring and Summer months, drinks receptions for up to 350 guests can take place on the picturesque terrace which overlooks the quayside, with wet weather options including the standout Riverside Room and Muscovado Hall.

For larger events of up 1,500 guests, the entire museum can be hired for an exclusive celebration that will live long in the memory!
