Event overview

The 2019 Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show is the longstanding event that launches the motorcycling season.  It is an action-packed three days showcasing the very best in motorcycling. It was launched in 1980 and has been hosted at Excel since 2007. Free live action racing, exotic customs and rare classic machines were just some of the features in a show designed to be suitable for the whole family.

A celebration

The show is the biggest motorcycle retail opportunity in the UK. It is an opportunity for manufacturers to showcase the latest models to an expectant public. The purpose-built John McGuinness bar proved a popular part of the show. The 23-time TT winner was the landlord and regaled visitors with stories of his famous racing past. This feature was borne out of support from the Excel team and Excel London Hospitality’s insight for creating successful in-hall retail experiences.

Flexible event space

Fans of custom machines were treated to a spectacular display as some of Europe’s leading builders brought their creations to the capital. The TomTom Adventure and Travel Zone proved popular with visitors as they headed to the stage to hear talks from some of the biggest names in adventure riding. 

One of the most popular attractions was the all-action Michelin Thunderdrome, located in the centre of the event floor. The free show saw legendary riders go head-to-head in bar-bashing racing as well as flat speed races that featured a banked ramp. The Live action continued with the Wall of Death.
