PLP, specialists in the design, installation and maintenance of fire detection systems, has today become an Official Supplier of Excel London.
Formed in 2011 by co-founders Paul Bennett and Rob Beeching and recently acquired by the Obsequio Group, PLP is one of the UK’s leading fire prevention companies with a dedicated team providing 24/7 coverage, 365 days a year.
PLP first began working with Excel in 2013 and later supporting with the venue’s state-of-the-art 25,000sqm expansion, including the installation and maintenance of all fire safety systems and equipment.
Now the Kent-based organisation will continue their role for the entirety of the 125,000sqm venue, working alongside Excel’s established Fire Team to help ensure the safety and security of every one of its four million annual visitors.
The high-tech detection system currently features more than 7,000 field devices, more than 100 VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detector Apparatus) systems and more than 55km of special fire alarm cabling.
