Agility extends logistics partnership with ExCeL London

01 December 2016

Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has extended its partnership with international events venue ExCeL London until 2019.

The extended contract sees Agility Fairs & Events continuing their role as ExCeL’s official logistics partner, with responsibility for freight transportation to and from the venue. Agility is the only logistics company on-site at ExCeL with staff offices and warehouse facilities, giving it the ability to service all event logistics requirements.

The Agility suite of services for event organisers and exhibitors includes offloading and reloading of vehicles, on-site event materials storage, domestic and overseas collection with customs clearance assistance, direct-to-stand venue deliveries, courier service management and licensed equipment hire with a qualified operator.

David Richards, European Regional Director for Agility Fairs & Events said “We have been working with ExCeL since 2012 and our on-site presence gives us an unrivalled knowledge of the facility. This win demonstrates our successful track record of delivering world-class logistics services at ExCeL. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership, for the benefit of the venue’s event organisers and exhibitors.”

ExCeL London is the capital’s international centre for conferences, congresses, exhibitions and conventions. Every year it hosts hundreds of events and attracts over 3.5 million visitors. The ExCeL Venue Services (EVS) division provides customers with all services needed to create and participate in events hosted by the venue, and Agility forms an integral element of this offering.

Paul Brindley, Executive Director of ExCeL Venue Services said “Agility’s global experience and expert local knowledge is the best in the business and I am delighted that we are continuing to work in close partnership. Our shared passion for exceptional events will help to create great outcomes for event organisers, exhibitors, contractors and visitors in 2017 and beyond.”

The win follows Agility’s recent ISO14001 and ISO20121 accreditations for environmental management and event sustainability. Agility is one of the first exhibition logistics companies to achieve these standards through its comprehensive environmental and sustainability program, which minimizes risk and develops opportunities for real change within the exhibition logistics industry.

“Winning these accreditations clearly demonstrates that we can provide sustainable logistics solutions to all of our clients. Our in-house systems, which manage our environmental practices and processes, have attained the highest international standard for environmental stewardship,” said Richards.
