Getting here — well that couldn’t be simpler

Please be advised that the Cable Cars will be closed from Monday 18th March to Wednesday 27th March for general maintenance.

Take the scenic route to ExCeL London by river or cable car, and turn your trip to the venue into a tour of London.

Travel by boat

With some of the best views of the capital’s most popular landmarks including Big Ben, the London Eye, the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral and The O2, travelling on a river boat service offers a truly unique perspective on London. The route is serviced by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers; the fastest and most frequent boat fleet on the river with departures from major London piers every 20 minutes.

When travelling to ExCeL London, alight at Royal Wharf Pier. It takes just over 20 minutes to walk through Britannia Village and over the Royal Victoria dock footbridge to ExCeL’s west entrance. Or get bus 241 and get off at Prince Regent.

For a scenic route, disembark at North Greenwich Pier and take the IFS Cloud Cable Car across the river.

Accessibility
All boats are wheelchair and pram accessible by ramp — all piers are wheelchair accessible except London Bridge, Wandsworth Riverside Quarter and Cadogan piers. Ramps are used for boarding.

Ticket prices
Travel from Central London to Royal Wharf from £10.25 when you touch in and out with Oyster pay as you go, or just £8.95 with a Travelcard — click to see a full list of fares here

IFS Cloud Cable Car

The UK’s first urban cable car connects ExCeL London to The O2 and North Greenwich tube station. On the IFS Cloud Cable Car, you can sit back, relax and enjoy stunning aerial views of London from 90m above the River Thames.

All exhibitors and visitors to shows at ExCeL can use the cable car for just £3 single fare - to redeem this exclusive discount, all you need to do is show a confirmation email/ticket etc - something that indicates that you are attending an ExCeL event - to the staff at the terminals.

Journey time
A cabin arrives every 30 seconds and flights last approximately 10 minutes — except during peak commuter times when it runs a bit quicker.
